  • SVG
  • PNG
  • JSON

In short

  1. 01

Start from a template or pick a shape: shield, round, oval, tab, crest, hexagon, rocker, diamond, plate or tape.

  2. 02

Type the title, subtitle and call sign (on round shapes tick “Text on arc”), pick an emblem from the 17 symbols or import your logo.

  3. 03

Match the palette and finish, then choose the PNG resolution, download an SVG or continue in Embroidery. Save the JSON for later edits.

What you get

A transparent PNG up to 4096 px, a vector SVG and a JSON project.

Step by step

01Start from a template

“Start here” has 12 templates: Police, Sheriff, EMS, Fire department, Mechanic, Security, Rally, Motorcycle club, Courier, Press, Crew and Studio. One click loads the whole thing, with shape, colours and symbol. The texts are generic, with no real brands.

You can also start from scratch: “Reset the design”, in the right panel, takes you back to the base badge.

02Pick the shape and write the text

“Emblem outline” has ten shapes, from shield and round to rocker and stripe. Each shape places the title, subtitle and number by itself.

Under “What the badge says” you fill in “Title” (up to 24 characters), “Subtitle” (32) and “Number / call sign” (8). Long text squeezes to fit. “Text on arc” curves the title on rounded shapes; where the shape has no arc, it tells you.

03The symbol or your logo

“The centre symbol” offers 17 symbols: star, wings, laurels, crown, lightning, cross, anchor and more. “Symbol size” and “Vertical position” fit it between the texts.

“Import your own logo” puts a PNG, JPEG or WebP in its place. A logo with a transparent background looks best. The rocker, plate and stripe have no room for a symbol and keep only the text.

04Colours and border

“Palette” changes all four colours in one click. You can also set them one by one: “Background”, “Border”, “Text” and “Symbol”.

Under “Border and stitching” you pick the border width and can add an “Inner border” and a “Stitch line”, so the badge looks like a sewn patch.

05Download

Under “Formats and resolution” you pick the “PNG resolution”, from 512 to 4096 px. “Download PNG” gives you an image with a transparent background; “Download SVG” a vector file you can keep editing. Each download costs 6 credits.

“Save” downloads the project as .badge.json for free, and “Project” opens it again. Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z step through the last 40 steps.

Questions

Which resolution should I pick?

1024 px is enough for a chest badge. For the back of a jacket or a car bonnet, take 2048 px. 4096 px is only worth it if you crop the image later.

Can I use a real faction’s logo?

You can import any image you have the rights to. The studio templates are generic precisely so you don’t copy real brands.

Why doesn’t “Text on arc” work?

The chosen shape has no arc. Shield, round, oval, crest and rocker have one. Tab, hexagon, diamond, plate and stripe don’t.

How much does it cost?

The project, saving and sending to Embroidery are free. Each PNG or SVG download costs 6 credits.
